Frequently asked questions

Email us with the domain name, the status you observed on the site, what you expected to see, your time zone, and a screenshot if available. We investigate every report and update the record if we find an error in our probe logic.

The fastest way is to search for the domain on the DownDetector.me homepage. We automatically add any valid public domain to monitoring the first time it is searched. Alternatively, email us the domain and we will add it manually within 24 hours.

We aim to respond to all genuine messages within 1–2 business days. Messages with clear details — domain name, observed status, time of issue, and your time zone — are always resolved faster.

For a status correction: the affected domain, what status was shown, what you observed in your browser, and a timestamp. For a monitor request: the full domain name and which category it belongs to. For general feedback: a clear description of what you experienced or what you would like improved.
